More than half of HMO’s polled in 13 states say that within two years they will offer three types of non-conventional health care – chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy. A survey sponsored by Landmark Health Care, an HMO based in Sacramento, California, found that 70% of HMO’s polled report that their members are requesting alternative therapies more often.
